My Scraps and More Sketch Blog DESIGN TEAM!

If you regularly check this blog, you know I love to work with sketches for my projects.  I even have a tag for it!  Well, I applied a couple of weeks ago to be a part of another sketch design team: the one over at My Scraps and More. And I was accepted!  I am so very excited!  The ladies on the design team are SO talented!  When you are done checking out my page here you will want to head over there to check out the rest of the team, it is great!

Here was the sketch we were given:

Here is my layout:

More white space than I usually have, but it is fun to mix it up from time to time.  SOMEONE (I won't name any names) did make a comment about how much empty space there was, but whatever, I like how it turned out!

I started with a sheet of Bazzill cardstock that had embossed heart banners all over it.  I wanted to make those stand out more so I used a couple of colors of spray ink (the embossed areas resist the ink).

For the cluster on the upper left, I used a Heidi Swapp chipboard resist heart that I inked in pink and purple, a doily that I misted to make it shimmer, a transparency quote, a journaling sticker and some Dew Drops.  I colored a few of the Dew Drops using Alcohol Ink.

For the title, I used some old Pink Paislee chipboard letters for a pop of color and cut the words "Made with" using my Cricut and Sure Cuts A Lot.  This is one of the finest fonts that I have ever cut, but I'd say it worked pretty well.

Now that you have seen what I made, head over the the My Scraps and More Sketch Blog and check out the rest of the design team!

  2. I like this layout too Jessica! And like you I'm not used to so much white space, but this layout looks amazing and I don't "notice" your white space because it has sprays and hearts and such in it, so to me not really "white space". lol Congrats on making the team!!!
