Birthday Card- Paper Issues

Hello again! I have another card to share today. This time it was based on this sketch from Paper Issues:

I decided to play with stamps and bright colored inks for my background. After I had all of that stamped, I added a strip of vellum and then stamped a fussy cut the balloons. For the sentiment, I stamped and heat embossed ti on white vellum and then cut it in a banner shape and adhered it to my card.  A few gems finished off the card.

A Few Random Cards...

I'm catching up with a few more cards today.

First up is a shower card. I used a bouquet stamp and my Stamping Gear to make the circle. I used the Cricut to cut the flower and circle for the center. I then added tape and edged the card with grey ink. It was at this point that I noticed one of the bouquets had a blotch of yellow ink on it. I must have dropped my inking tool on the card, so I went and added yellow blotches to all of the bouquets.

This is a favorite technique of mine. I covered some cardstock with aluminum foil and embossed it. Then I dropped alcohol inks on the foil to add some color. The final design of this card was based on a sketch, but I made this a few weeks ago and I don't remember what sketch it was... :/

Finally, I have this card. I picked up some new stamps at the church garage sale last week, including the banner stamps used on this card. I was inspired by the stamps and went from there. The background it dry embossed and sanded.

I hope to do a little better keeping up with blogging, but my photography schedule is pretty busy these day, so  we will see!

Baby Shower card- Scrapping Everyday Miracles

Hello all! It has been a while! I have been busy editing photos, but have squeezed in a little card creating. Today I have a baby shower card I created based on this sketch from Scrapping Everyday Miracles:

I decided to use my Cricut and cut out the cute little rocket ship using the "Boys Will Be Boys" cartridge. I stamped the banners and fussy cut them and then added letter stickers. I edged everything with red ink to tie it together. A cute sentiment finished off the card.

One Design, Two Cards

Hello, I have a couple of cards to share today! I needed two cards, with different sentiments from the same design.

First, I was inspired by this fun photo at Inspired by All the Little Things:

I was also inspired by the current sketch at Mojo Monday:

I loved the colors in the photo, so I started from there. I also was inspired by the shapes of the flowers and used my Cricut to cut similar shapes. I dry embossed a piece of vellum for the center panel. I cut a piece of pink vellum to add a layer under my sentiment and then stamped and heat embossed my sentiment.

Welcome to my blog, you should have arrived from Tina's blog.

When I went looking for a sketch to use for the hop, I realized that I have been a member of the design team or playing along at Stick It Down for so long that I had to go back over a year to find a sketch I hadn't used! I found this sketch from May 2015:

I made this card. The hearts were cut with my Cricut and the Storybook cartridge. The design had extra scrolls on them, but I cut them off.  I inked the edges of all of my pieces to bring them together visually. I added some pearl accents around my hearts using some Liquid Pearls.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! Your next stop is Ali's  blog. Here is the order of the hop, in case you get lost:
