I have a set of cards I made for some friends and family members (who are all related) that lost two family members this week. I used similar materials for all of them to keep things simple.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">First up, I used some Whitewash Coredinations cardstock and ran it through an embossing folder. I took my sanding block and sanded off the raised areas to reveal the color. For the flower centers, I used a water brush and some yellow shimmer powder and painted it on. I finished off the card with a stamped and heat embossed sentiment.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6dLCGyXE3Md36a70dj6wEMZjk3TImJqx7_EfvzHIutVntLuQKl_Fgi04V_ozFuYENAEjrzSMXPdrskyTvME9_XNQfDk80BgXiX6rdF3eTiilRAi-kCDmWSD18Y3Wdr3-gQIYyhZj_teabNUVhyphenhyphenm7uQSdF6FIDPYtONzKBo-amvICFxI1patXlY9CNDoaC/s3600/Adam%20sympathy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3600" data-original-width="2776" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh6dLCGyXE3Md36a70dj6wEMZjk3TImJqx7_EfvzHIutVntLuQKl_Fgi04V_ozFuYENAEjrzSMXPdrskyTvME9_XNQfDk80BgXiX6rdF3eTiilRAi-kCDmWSD18Y3Wdr3-gQIYyhZj_teabNUVhyphenhyphenm7uQSdF6FIDPYtONzKBo-amvICFxI1patXlY9CNDoaC/w494-h640/Adam%20sympathy.jpg" width="494" /></a></div><p><br /></p>For my next card (sorry this photo is not great), I started by stamping the flowers onto my background. I used the matching masks to color the flowers with ink and blending brushes. I finished off this card with a stamped sentiment that I matted on a coordinating green paper. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIzdRlHozjvyXxxgX55WhlTQxhyphenhyphenVYbfqgR3sBsddmi1THUoVqJ3_xDXh3yBvLRAV0NaovBfKnRNLOLbdKxfXfL2RJS3Uco6P0Jf7ekfRDvRkx3cQC-2THaaIjHnSVHfMiLJ_L2ROJHJIg_U_kT0ZXDqK9IdSP5CAnZi1gP5TgJPlAOppvqYbAb_U41OBMq/s3900/Angela%20sympathy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3900" data-original-width="3052" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjIzdRlHozjvyXxxgX55WhlTQxhyphenhyphenVYbfqgR3sBsddmi1THUoVqJ3_xDXh3yBvLRAV0NaovBfKnRNLOLbdKxfXfL2RJS3Uco6P0Jf7ekfRDvRkx3cQC-2THaaIjHnSVHfMiLJ_L2ROJHJIg_U_kT0ZXDqK9IdSP5CAnZi1gP5TgJPlAOppvqYbAb_U41OBMq/w500-h640/Angela%20sympathy.jpg" width="500" /></a></div><p><br /></p>I used another set of masks for this card. I had six photos to work with on this one and wanted to keep it on one page. As I mentioned yesterday, I went on a scrapbooking weekend a couple of weeks ago, and one of the other ladies was getting rid of some paper and she had a "travel" paper pad, and the colors are perfect for boy layouts, so I grabbed it! It was so fun to play with some of those papers here. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This layout came together pretty quickly. I started by laying out the photos and papers. Once that was down, I cut the title. I laid that out on the blue background, but it didn't stand out very well and actually messed with my eyes a bit. I decided to add some solid yellow behind the title to make it stand out more. I tore both sides of the paper to add some texture. For embellishments, I pulled some stickers and die cuts from my stash, as well as a little washi tape. (There was a arrow on both ends of the title, but I just noticed one is missing!)</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDFEkJLybpfzwurg9_CIF73zJ7sTlx7oHx9Uz-fn_EZ-6N5wUrTGOkdDi_uUTkOAdhA2Z7QhP7VNJWkPmQJZcoiPhoosM15eZ2sf0MtwfX2eyeMMmrAm6VhaOOZvxGT8JRPflr-pYr7INsYVuMO_ZVI1wJMjcD2z_anKqToai3rIMwdlpyFQBkEPyhzSPC/s3388/What%20a%20Thrill%20wm.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3388" data-original-width="3372" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjDFEkJLybpfzwurg9_CIF73zJ7sTlx7oHx9Uz-fn_EZ-6N5wUrTGOkdDi_uUTkOAdhA2Z7QhP7VNJWkPmQJZcoiPhoosM15eZ2sf0MtwfX2eyeMMmrAm6VhaOOZvxGT8JRPflr-pYr7INsYVuMO_ZVI1wJMjcD2z_anKqToai3rIMwdlpyFQBkEPyhzSPC/w636-h640/What%20a%20Thrill%20wm.jpg" width="636" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-23482469672884996932024-03-09T13:13:00.002-06:002024-03-09T13:14:22.348-06:00Grease<p> Hello all! I haven't posted much lately, but I have been busy scrapping and organizing. I had a scrapbooking weekend a couple of weeks ago where I worked on wedding pages from my husband's siblings weddings. I spent the following week completing that album. There are a lot of pages, and they are a little different from my typical style, so I won't be sharing those here. </p><p>I got back to scrapping with a dance layout. I started with this sketch from <a href="https://rochellespears.blogspot.com/2024/03/march-sketch-challenge-revealed.html" target="_blank">Rochelle Spears</a>:</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiDOJbGSDmWnDr_WcF1Xgnx9jhw2fAztwwQmT_zoR5fUDE5ZdrxclY8VQ81vgPzg9wOwWbQClxbfDTGCAdseHwgjJIbA9XUbk7u6f5eqyipjPCXwD17uWbVYdrr8Ebt_Z_2S4iHukfO8CztUSB3dou47I7xwsxEDEBkwBnFbpY54Z_hQ2DAvj45Gb62wxZ/s640/SF%20MARCH%202024.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiDOJbGSDmWnDr_WcF1Xgnx9jhw2fAztwwQmT_zoR5fUDE5ZdrxclY8VQ81vgPzg9wOwWbQClxbfDTGCAdseHwgjJIbA9XUbk7u6f5eqyipjPCXwD17uWbVYdrr8Ebt_Z_2S4iHukfO8CztUSB3dou47I7xwsxEDEBkwBnFbpY54Z_hQ2DAvj45Gb62wxZ/s320/SF%20MARCH%202024.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div>I started by rotating the sketch to make it work with my horizontal photos. I found some pink papers to go with the costumes. These papers were all in my scraps! I then went to work layering and cutting the papers. I found a free svg file online of the "Grease" logo, so I downloaded that and cut it with my Cricut. I used some shimmer paper for a little sparkle. Once everything was stuck down, I found a journaling sticker to add my info. I decided I wanted some ink splatters around where my embellishments clusters would be, so I used some gray spray ink and covered what I didn't want splattered. Once that was dry, I dug through my stash for some embellishments. I found the cute phone flair and some "gromlets" to add to the page. The little prize ribbon also went well, but the brad that was with it did not, so I found a puffy heart sticker to put in the center instead. <br /><br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGNYurCXjjrbck1lqrMO-4QulIk5hHvXPV6nHi9njsAUL5ND8EVF5Ts_-R2Yge7YXHMYpY8kSrPvFwjsdqZ19bzyG3U-koO2xoDSgxIKYDMlQk9hGS4HcqUqH6wyde8paQfl9efYUyzOi8uHfWF0Jf2PTrf6HSzlx5bOAm_ECTwkpfuqRcduXkTUNY2_UD/s3293/Grease%202022%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3293" data-original-width="3240" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgGNYurCXjjrbck1lqrMO-4QulIk5hHvXPV6nHi9njsAUL5ND8EVF5Ts_-R2Yge7YXHMYpY8kSrPvFwjsdqZ19bzyG3U-koO2xoDSgxIKYDMlQk9hGS4HcqUqH6wyde8paQfl9efYUyzOi8uHfWF0Jf2PTrf6HSzlx5bOAm_ECTwkpfuqRcduXkTUNY2_UD/w630-h640/Grease%202022%20wm.jpg" width="630" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I also did the<a href="https://scrapwithstacy.blogspot.com/2024/03/march-2024-scrappy-friends-tic-tac-toe.html" target="_blank"> Scrap With Stacy Tic Tac Toe challenge</a>. I have a couple of layouts to share today using <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.927381548993476&type=3" target="_blank">Stick It Down</a> sketches. First up is the double page sketch:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhJZtOBNT7eqjef8fgPpsPxgzFLpyLzeAsvxKgdmoEXPfeUPpgzLW7ZNR-tu1BofEuaOw7skqRZDGEmFee53lpfLmew2eH1ahVYIQPI4j7oszeMyeGTuscDRVViMUYI9TvQJ89hPENGLmh6391XMt0m-WNyPKtaJlr2a-SULa2W7w-BXEdf9xz6UjomIQ_x" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="513" data-original-width="1080" height="152" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhJZtOBNT7eqjef8fgPpsPxgzFLpyLzeAsvxKgdmoEXPfeUPpgzLW7ZNR-tu1BofEuaOw7skqRZDGEmFee53lpfLmew2eH1ahVYIQPI4j7oszeMyeGTuscDRVViMUYI9TvQJ89hPENGLmh6391XMt0m-WNyPKtaJlr2a-SULa2W7w-BXEdf9xz6UjomIQ_x" width="320" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I used this one for my calendar layout. I had more that 8 photos, so I played with the photo sizes a bit to make them all fit. I found these two papers in my stash and attached them to a couple of sheets of white cardstock for stability. I added some blue ric rack to the center of the page. For my journaling, I typed it an printed it on pearl cardstock. I added captions to the photos and then rest of the journaling under my title. The letter stickers I used for the title are getting pretty sparse, so I ended up chopping up some letters to make them work. I cut the bottom off of a "g" for the "a," I trimmed a "b" into the "r," and a "q" into the "c." To embellish the page, I dug into my stash and found some really old embellishments (hello felt die cuts and die cut chipboard!). I also used some new flower die cuts and pearls. The "sweet thing" stickerin the bottom right had a purple border that I colored over with a green Sharpie to make it match my layout better. It just goes to show that you can use up those supplies if you get creative!</div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZqaPchNBgwwHFdQP0oSOKLg2qKcCSk5PaazB4QxpevH7i8WBbpQJhkgzg_TlMEBIooSR0Dpra_sgWSnCMYrC4gtGLZuqT3qAcHS49_YxezVX0v_SlYXnxo7LVkb329COSKXuyJ6uhDH77a-gdgFRLttnPdf4vYOrmanZA7oPIt2CYrEro15BY4h8IaP_D/s5445/March%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2708" data-original-width="5445" height="318" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZqaPchNBgwwHFdQP0oSOKLg2qKcCSk5PaazB4QxpevH7i8WBbpQJhkgzg_TlMEBIooSR0Dpra_sgWSnCMYrC4gtGLZuqT3qAcHS49_YxezVX0v_SlYXnxo7LVkb329COSKXuyJ6uhDH77a-gdgFRLttnPdf4vYOrmanZA7oPIt2CYrEro15BY4h8IaP_D/w640-h318/March%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next is the single page sketch:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjMhG0uL5tmgPOMRNgDRQ7MtlurxaRmIqfwdGEiLx-bgmLorjRVVpVL90F0D_VlITkKxnx1vAMqFHifh_8R3tffqohzPojMpJiYYwcOyAuj_pHs23dIgOgt-DQdBTCvTO8AA03xwaVksepEyaysRFz2RkbL6Flb0WysQhzgsIYYXZSMm4ycr92LdnioW0By" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjMhG0uL5tmgPOMRNgDRQ7MtlurxaRmIqfwdGEiLx-bgmLorjRVVpVL90F0D_VlITkKxnx1vAMqFHifh_8R3tffqohzPojMpJiYYwcOyAuj_pHs23dIgOgt-DQdBTCvTO8AA03xwaVksepEyaysRFz2RkbL6Flb0WysQhzgsIYYXZSMm4ycr92LdnioW0By" width="240" /></a></div><br />I did another dance layout for this one. I found a scrap of red and black patterned paper that had some geometric lines that made for interesting triangles on my page. I used my Cricut to cut the silhouettes and title from silver cardstock (it looks peachy in the photo because it is reflecting the light from the room where it was photographed). I used a background stamp and white ink to added the stars and dots on the background before attaching everything. To embellish the page, I used some sequins and silver Nuvo drops.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGR0hiZaIg0PT-9cv1-royKqpawwAMCJRo5Z51aJJ507vT85aAP9g9JI1AxUSyM73J0ToVP8Get2Vts72bF8KNsRMYzOjPYVWV3eYNmWAr9wt5qXQIxBegFDrOxPBi-xcXsU-fiC-WqNLjqnWjkm-djoGkSkyuMyUoaFyfodPJDQi8aO584LKqEpov-jQO/s3528/Footloose%202020%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3521" data-original-width="3528" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGR0hiZaIg0PT-9cv1-royKqpawwAMCJRo5Z51aJJ507vT85aAP9g9JI1AxUSyM73J0ToVP8Get2Vts72bF8KNsRMYzOjPYVWV3eYNmWAr9wt5qXQIxBegFDrOxPBi-xcXsU-fiC-WqNLjqnWjkm-djoGkSkyuMyUoaFyfodPJDQi8aO584LKqEpov-jQO/w640-h638/Footloose%202020%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-25657972430126692872024-02-16T06:00:00.001-06:002024-02-16T06:00:00.147-06:00Valentines Part 4<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I'm back today with my last couple of Valentines. For these, I just used up some bits and pieces I had laying around. For this first card, I cut a piece of watercolor paper and did the smooshing technique with red inks, layering them up for some texture. Then I took a background stamp and stamped it in black. I layered that over a black cardstock panel. I added a white sparkle ribbon and glued the last three hearts I had on my desk. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and I was done.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpTaD2zaNs39KBWTEepE7h2X3UBb9QahspUjBSKTlNq5Dq-kxGF8b9C-TjYvjRKH7uoqsY9fu4tHLDO9oZ4s2pq5buybczjRw80IVhd2UVuVIMnvWZT6_rAFMhJotfp__CQ5vPjlLvitqpy6kHSRQ96asV_Od-8Onok0r8LkBUdAo2PdxaTRkrxWuxVJ_H/s3533/Valentine%205.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3533" data-original-width="2659" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpTaD2zaNs39KBWTEepE7h2X3UBb9QahspUjBSKTlNq5Dq-kxGF8b9C-TjYvjRKH7uoqsY9fu4tHLDO9oZ4s2pq5buybczjRw80IVhd2UVuVIMnvWZT6_rAFMhJotfp__CQ5vPjlLvitqpy6kHSRQ96asV_Od-8Onok0r8LkBUdAo2PdxaTRkrxWuxVJ_H/w482-h640/Valentine%205.jpg" width="482" /></a></div>For this card, I had grabbed the two pink hearts and the leftover butterfly embossed paper. I had found the flower background stamp and decided to use that as well. I stamped it with a matching pink ink on light pink cardstock. Once that was dry, I used Versamark and gold embossing powder to stampe the "I Love You" sentiment over the top. I used the arrow washi tape to separate the two patterns on my background. I attached the large heart directly to the card front and used foam tape for the smaller heart. I wanted a bit more gold on the card, so I took a gold gel pen and a ruler to creat the outline and then used Glossy Accents and gold glitter to make the gold heart in the center.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXWh3X475KPhlzQmbrs2Y130ehHENEhRaMa3lWv2OMQ5PtpxlSSBYQaJ6UFMWi2o_KFIOBoGbf5AnfZ8iStS4DXvNCBb4QGNfdzkRsjYonGNv1hZfn3ZfeSD6hN2_WfHxb8gta0budNngKi8LIXh5qAUxzbMeLvYwRSa0TDyIpEj7PydCTqH-QFTf9T2Oj/s4179/Valentine%206.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="4179" data-original-width="3455" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXWh3X475KPhlzQmbrs2Y130ehHENEhRaMa3lWv2OMQ5PtpxlSSBYQaJ6UFMWi2o_KFIOBoGbf5AnfZ8iStS4DXvNCBb4QGNfdzkRsjYonGNv1hZfn3ZfeSD6hN2_WfHxb8gta0budNngKi8LIXh5qAUxzbMeLvYwRSa0TDyIpEj7PydCTqH-QFTf9T2Oj/w530-h640/Valentine%206.jpg" width="530" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Thanks for checking out all my cards!</div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-70839768286812955852024-02-15T06:00:00.002-06:002024-02-29T19:26:46.621-06:00Valentines Part 3<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello all! I am back again with another Valentine. For this one, I started with with sketch from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=oa.927381548993476&type=3" target="_blank">Stick It Down:</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEigWTjVY4mIEcfeZ6uEZUdOBTENSXUuyzo4n9UQJBXKnvyea1jmvg-m57Ah63i3JArsuVNgRxth7dv3QV3PtUvkTRta5DI-dqO0wU2ZN6mUNZb17q2MB-JMhxZF-V7HlT7AK8rgEV5ibeZwIajhm_TSA6Jbrt2ny9HLjW45j9Iusc5kZB2hp58pl0Twzh24" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="306" data-original-width="257" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEigWTjVY4mIEcfeZ6uEZUdOBTENSXUuyzo4n9UQJBXKnvyea1jmvg-m57Ah63i3JArsuVNgRxth7dv3QV3PtUvkTRta5DI-dqO0wU2ZN6mUNZb17q2MB-JMhxZF-V7HlT7AK8rgEV5ibeZwIajhm_TSA6Jbrt2ny9HLjW45j9Iusc5kZB2hp58pl0Twzh24" width="202" /></a></div><br /><br /></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I also had the center panel from my spray inking. After spraying ink on the one of the masks for yesterday's cards, there was quite a bit of ink on the mask, so I took it and flipped it onto this panel and pressed the ink into the paper and let it dry. Once it was dry, I took the mask and used some blending brushes and yellow inks to creat the yellow flowers. I found some coordinating yellow cardstock for my background and ran it through a leaf embossing folder. I then took a gold ink pad and rubbed it over the raised areas for some sparkle. I realized while making this card that I didn't have any gold ribbon, so I cut a thin strip of gold glitter cardstock to run across the middle of my card. The large pink heart was a leftover from another project, and then I used my Cricut to cut the circle with the sentiment to layer on top.</div><br /><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPAS9iLcCbLLc_WyPFiCj0a0LFeh0RNjsAixbSs2WADCi_mMXil2MgnpgVLqnf-h_zc48TpsJPGPU4n-E7v9qun4KlyN6YEb0fGHRf8iRjY9e6X1YH8mYnyFDoLmf92Fc29orEOcWskxvQEqGT89ui30ftpRAMdCuSaenOQI4VbUM_2LMFi7ebu6FPdP11/s3376/Valentine%201.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3376" data-original-width="2581" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPAS9iLcCbLLc_WyPFiCj0a0LFeh0RNjsAixbSs2WADCi_mMXil2MgnpgVLqnf-h_zc48TpsJPGPU4n-E7v9qun4KlyN6YEb0fGHRf8iRjY9e6X1YH8mYnyFDoLmf92Fc29orEOcWskxvQEqGT89ui30ftpRAMdCuSaenOQI4VbUM_2LMFi7ebu6FPdP11/w490-h640/Valentine%201.jpg" width="490" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-74431600990967183022024-02-14T06:00:00.001-06:002024-02-14T06:00:00.140-06:00Valentines Part 2<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello and Happy Valentine's Day! I have a pair of cards to share today. These were actually the first cards I made as I worked on Valentines for my family. I started by using spray inks and masks for the the middle panels. I then found this sketch from <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/2024/02/sketch-744.html" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday</a> and made it work with my panels:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiAWpLj2j_9ESmlDwPjKDJt3WN_OG3Al1Yt_Q3HNUcUcMm8D3Wwp-qVsYaww-DGiyFyuWiN7r8JhVh6GUt196t91pj-ZU5buEyqgqPSBgLB_KsIIJ5TR-bAn0TR0MzTIbZNoMNMJPnqHviqtw98t2jhAEgs14GUTncYaoi4IzVKhKlbk8ZwgyvCj8K_2ncc" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="400" data-original-width="310" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiAWpLj2j_9ESmlDwPjKDJt3WN_OG3Al1Yt_Q3HNUcUcMm8D3Wwp-qVsYaww-DGiyFyuWiN7r8JhVh6GUt196t91pj-ZU5buEyqgqPSBgLB_KsIIJ5TR-bAn0TR0MzTIbZNoMNMJPnqHviqtw98t2jhAEgs14GUTncYaoi4IzVKhKlbk8ZwgyvCj8K_2ncc" width="186" /></a></div><br />Rather than making the middle panel go off the page, losing a large chunk of my masking, I just centered the panel. I then found a scrap of the embossed butterfly paper, used a sanding block to sand off the white and attached those pieces on either side of the panel. While I was spraying with the masks, I also sprayed a few white die cut hearts with the same inks. I used two of those hearts here. I stamped the word "love" onto them and added a silver die cut heart. With Valentine's day this week, I thought I would share the cards I made for my family members. First up is this card:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggg69ZmrduN66xTXFmeX8gwmWyUzpn46rE4G6P1gWiF43Ac5Dgz4MwkH7Datx4mV8-1bQ4fpnzmHIhcsNQTp1-u57NHSwDlZ-eWhCxYWl4RUkvnl6C2cIxSX6DUbWfmF39NwoCyGfgsoqR79mmOL_h2Zzuhga39_MJs7_L32w11kVa7mP1qfzMa_Btj1Yv/s3349/Valentine%202.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3349" data-original-width="2562" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEggg69ZmrduN66xTXFmeX8gwmWyUzpn46rE4G6P1gWiF43Ac5Dgz4MwkH7Datx4mV8-1bQ4fpnzmHIhcsNQTp1-u57NHSwDlZ-eWhCxYWl4RUkvnl6C2cIxSX6DUbWfmF39NwoCyGfgsoqR79mmOL_h2Zzuhga39_MJs7_L32w11kVa7mP1qfzMa_Btj1Yv/w490-h640/Valentine%202.jpg" width="490" /></a></div><br /> I was inspired by the current <a href="https://tictactoechallenge.com/tttc240-featured-designer-vicky/" target="_blank">Tic Tac Toe Challenge:</a><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg9BirWfLRB7RyJzk3xWSh_C8peCY_VmlflAqEwhgB8zIHBiaXMdP5WYtbGwtNU2Kz7FNClVSuZKkFui8uextMsOgsoOjgGG1f6z0BLAUdhNB7CbvosHgMewA73QnyPQEVjty-dh6GI6jbp0oV5OmCcr6gZVM2ZJ2L7zuaGV0KqsZhAWruURk9IyQYEHQF0" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="582" data-original-width="450" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg9BirWfLRB7RyJzk3xWSh_C8peCY_VmlflAqEwhgB8zIHBiaXMdP5WYtbGwtNU2Kz7FNClVSuZKkFui8uextMsOgsoOjgGG1f6z0BLAUdhNB7CbvosHgMewA73QnyPQEVjty-dh6GI6jbp0oV5OmCcr6gZVM2ZJ2L7zuaGV0KqsZhAWruURk9IyQYEHQF0" width="186" /></a></div><br />I chose the diagonal from the bottom left to the top right. My Valentines ended up being kind of a progressive challenge- I started with one idea and used bits and pieces leftover to complete the next one and so on. This card fell in the middle of the order. I had pulled out my little bag of random die cut hearts and had sprayed the white ones with spray ink at the beginning. I grabbed one of the blue hearts for this card. The word "love" was leftover from a cut for another card. For the "rose" part of the challenge, I pulled out an Altenew stamp set and stamped by background with a few colors of blue ink. I used a this strip of gold cardstock across my background and added teh heard on top with foam tape. To finish off the card front, I used some gold Liquid pearls.<p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-65372226706940668862024-02-12T15:17:00.004-06:002024-02-12T15:17:25.383-06:00Church Card Ministry<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">When we started attending mass at a different church a couple of years ago, I found out our new church had a card ministry and I got involved. So far, I have been given the task of signing and putting address labels on the envelopes. However, recently they asked me to make cards for the 5 RCIA candidates (these are adults who will be coming into full communion with the Catholic church at Easter whether through Communion, Reconcilliation and Confirmation or all of those as well as Baptism). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I made these three cards for the women who are joining the church. I started by using watercolor paper and watered down Distress Inks to create the backgrounds. I pressed the inkpads onto a plastic surface, misted it with water and then pressed the paper into the ink. I dried each color before moving onto the next so they wouldn't mix too much. The cross is a free cut file from Paper Issues. I cut it three times from silver paper and once each from pink, yellow, and blue. I glued the silver cut to my card front and then glued in the individual pieces of the other colors. It took longer than I expected, but was so worth it! I love how these turned out. I finished off the card front with a stamped and heat embossed sentiment.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXWWg19Q3afgwPOzE7HbbTpLcAOo76LAWetrkqJJU1Q18-yIz-AtodwvQEHHIHMB2XTfP15uqFLfKMzsZEa1-NF4gf5BbgN_xtJ5I4Cm5I02OZ8M1rz8-MhJenXpVJeQpVP3C-GnQSYs3pnrHUNqugISFgyskSe90X7T1Va_ctddR0iaNe3Vm6j07GhiIV/s5660/Card%20Ministry-%20Female%20RCIA%20cards.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2542" data-original-width="5660" height="288" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjXWWg19Q3afgwPOzE7HbbTpLcAOo76LAWetrkqJJU1Q18-yIz-AtodwvQEHHIHMB2XTfP15uqFLfKMzsZEa1-NF4gf5BbgN_xtJ5I4Cm5I02OZ8M1rz8-MhJenXpVJeQpVP3C-GnQSYs3pnrHUNqugISFgyskSe90X7T1Va_ctddR0iaNe3Vm6j07GhiIV/w640-h288/Card%20Ministry-%20Female%20RCIA%20cards.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p><br /></p>I also made two cards like this for the male candidates. I started with off white pearlized cardstock and stamped and heat embossed with clear embossing powder the script background. I then took some blue Distress Inks and blended them onto the edges of the panel. I used my Cricut to cut the cross and background and attached them to the card front. I completed the card front with a strip of vellum that I stamped and heat embossed a sentiment onto. I decided I wanted a gold border around the front of my card, so I rubbed a Versamark inkpad around the edges of my card and then used gold embossing powder. <br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfCcWifkP_Os36qHzWZoZzOFmUISkcnEgEjET4ToTF0RGzXR9wBI7hjjGpLi6h5zdVHiLHJU4EO77lqtBNB_GjeWZ9MB1Puq326bbdH6cg9uTODniO27C8kHujbSwZRZogTCY0_rzTXQTKy_rC5R7ZZnhgJ786xIWt-AVxN1uPE6dz-AXJG5dq2wn2f9M0/s2776/Card%20Ministry-%20Male%20RCIA%20card.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2776" data-original-width="2256" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfCcWifkP_Os36qHzWZoZzOFmUISkcnEgEjET4ToTF0RGzXR9wBI7hjjGpLi6h5zdVHiLHJU4EO77lqtBNB_GjeWZ9MB1Puq326bbdH6cg9uTODniO27C8kHujbSwZRZogTCY0_rzTXQTKy_rC5R7ZZnhgJ786xIWt-AVxN1uPE6dz-AXJG5dq2wn2f9M0/w520-h640/Card%20Ministry-%20Male%20RCIA%20card.jpg" width="520" /></a></div><br /> Thanks for stopping by to check out my cards!<p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-27041593073341262602024-02-04T06:00:00.001-06:002024-02-04T06:00:00.140-06:00Joyful Lake Time<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello all! I have a new layout to share today! I started with this PageMaps sketch that was part of one of the challenges at <a href="https://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com/2024/01/lm-684-sketch-challenge-with-scrappy.html" target="_blank">Lasting Memories:</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img height="366" src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/4OlkbJqYIkUwhkwbit8x5FTdAfatNgnxFt92DGcvdHWqHQ8I2ESec0K0BN1BglpezLA2fW-WVy-JpwPlk9VCMw9RRERMjC280w8wr2HeH8Wj5avpD9L0EymCQznUcTi_-UxqtOodCLY2oHPwEAYJ4zM" style="background-color: white; color: red; font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif; font-size: 11.5pt; font-weight: 700; margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; white-space-collapse: preserve;" width="366" /></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I needed to make a two page layout for these photos, so I used the sketch for my left hand page. I also added a sketch to work with the number of photos I had. The scrappy twist to this challenge was to use tags. I got out some blank manila tags and went to work. I wanted the colors to match the muted colors of my wood patterned paper, so I covered the tags in white gesso. This prevents the inks from absorbing into the paper and leaves the colors muted. I then sprayed and splattered the tags with yellow and blue and green inks. Once they were dry, I used some Distress Stains to add a little more depth and texture to the colors. Then I stamped with black archival ink to add further texture. After that was all dry, I went to work assembling the page. The patterned paper, tags and photos took up most of the page so there wasn't much to do after that. I used some stickers and my Cricut for the title. I found some coordinating embroidery floss to add to the tags, and finished off the embellishing with some canvas flair, stickers, puffy stickers, and enamel arrows.</div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnZzPql3CTWAH_DhbM_sOuqHilEoUc4VhgOYJa8r7R7JyQpxMkQMreTpyzHGhOrjNfvX_v1TU9MFN5DoktewoQA3MEtzzGbv946e_cwtdsKf8_V27znJreeRjJtY-GFRcWKbsq9OLpekZQl0QSG5E2HZ3QSndfkNDHQ1UpeeoahghF0byKCEnh3CUH4qtx/s5403/Museum%20Explorer%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2703" data-original-width="5403" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhnZzPql3CTWAH_DhbM_sOuqHilEoUc4VhgOYJa8r7R7JyQpxMkQMreTpyzHGhOrjNfvX_v1TU9MFN5DoktewoQA3MEtzzGbv946e_cwtdsKf8_V27znJreeRjJtY-GFRcWKbsq9OLpekZQl0QSG5E2HZ3QSndfkNDHQ1UpeeoahghF0byKCEnh3CUH4qtx/w640-h320/Museum%20Explorer%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-10340989029631305462024-01-27T16:31:00.007-06:002024-01-27T16:31:53.350-06:00A Layout and a Card<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hi all! I have a layout and card to share today! First up is the layout that I created using this sketch from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10161767721939924&set=oa.404764271980002" target="_blank">Paper Issues:</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg-TwWvP8tv1zlFOhHRmAu3OHG63K20GUUrHyyGg28xhn58W7K4ktax-BNVdZTiQQe7msLeyP9U4vgmNg-UQLftHSLe8Myi73fZYgeIoe_-aBF_gatt4-LtuOUJnNaZ1RCWjM1KMxI3i1eX8H_dUEXoMtJBwSZO9RrYaNqNd2Wn2z89gej54_sv3I8_T9Vl" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="673" data-original-width="635" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg-TwWvP8tv1zlFOhHRmAu3OHG63K20GUUrHyyGg28xhn58W7K4ktax-BNVdZTiQQe7msLeyP9U4vgmNg-UQLftHSLe8Myi73fZYgeIoe_-aBF_gatt4-LtuOUJnNaZ1RCWjM1KMxI3i1eX8H_dUEXoMtJBwSZO9RrYaNqNd2Wn2z89gej54_sv3I8_T9Vl" width="226" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I had larger photos to work with, but I made the sketch work with them. I started by doing the smooshing technique on the background with red inks. While that dried, I cut and adhered the photos to the black mats. Once the ink was dry on the background, I took a star mask and added some of those around the page. I finished off the background with some gold ink splatters. In the place of the triangles in the sketch, I used a chevron acetate and fussy cut along the lines. I glued that down around the page. I used my Cricut for the title, and the black stars. The gold banner was in my scrap drawer and so I decided to use it here. I embellished the page with some gold star stickers and black gems. </div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-V8ojPylFF0d24O0JNJMbeI2TIc_3XqkFfebmdRBlV2riwhL-qeM0qoD_2Ik-I86j6rEk0SqxDxQo8wKyS1AuzgowyE7j5n8IiYUgrldgQ684MJjVB0q925w30g1uQjzSoraRpsT9Kd7rVQ3Zq22MYgMTJT30uDBsaS6lQqEpSM41q2B72e-Ui-PMFj71/s3453/Come%20Follow%20the%20Band%202019%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3438" data-original-width="3453" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-V8ojPylFF0d24O0JNJMbeI2TIc_3XqkFfebmdRBlV2riwhL-qeM0qoD_2Ik-I86j6rEk0SqxDxQo8wKyS1AuzgowyE7j5n8IiYUgrldgQ684MJjVB0q925w30g1uQjzSoraRpsT9Kd7rVQ3Zq22MYgMTJT30uDBsaS6lQqEpSM41q2B72e-Ui-PMFj71/w640-h638/Come%20Follow%20the%20Band%202019%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>Next up is a card, which also uses some odds and ends from my scrap drawer. I have been throwing things in there, but haven't used much. I went through it and organized it a couple of days ago so that it will be easier to find what I'm looking for. While I was doing that, I found these blue chevron pieces and the scrap from the first card in <a href="https://jessica-createandshare.blogspot.com/2024/01/birthday-cards-2.html" target="_blank">this post</a>. I also found the transparent circle in my scraps. Then I went to work putting it all together. I used a bunch of different birthday stamps and my Misti to stamp the background. I also used an ombre inkpad so I had a few different colors on my stamping. I arranged all my pieces over the background I stamped. Then I stamped the little whale and colored it in using a water pen and Distress Inks.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcQlCNhZt7e9a5zwhl-KqJiNkKKW2trZxBSPeYULdTy62-T0yxe8ICg5FiVC0mRj5xQovRJOuJpTgGjE2DVaIFZZU9OF7j28uKhYVi4LE6kjEcNU74qFiT9wgBkdSZRyhchVXsJpQmz_b00_LCe_7JD5qyaHbDzuUFfMHO7dMf167MQignQpcBFy0Nb_fM/s3148/Dominic's%20birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2389" data-original-width="3148" height="486" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcQlCNhZt7e9a5zwhl-KqJiNkKKW2trZxBSPeYULdTy62-T0yxe8ICg5FiVC0mRj5xQovRJOuJpTgGjE2DVaIFZZU9OF7j28uKhYVi4LE6kjEcNU74qFiT9wgBkdSZRyhchVXsJpQmz_b00_LCe_7JD5qyaHbDzuUFfMHO7dMf167MQignQpcBFy0Nb_fM/w640-h486/Dominic's%20birthday.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> Thanks for stopping by to check out my projects1<p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-71761786387247178452024-01-23T15:03:00.006-06:002024-01-23T15:03:34.538-06:00Bob the Builder- Dance Layout<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello again! I am back with another dance layout for my daughter's album. I was inspired by another sketch from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10161790202124924&set=oa.404764271980002" target="_blank">Paper Issues</a>:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg6TGvivvMd4oZuYM0SCX3iVdiF8iXy-WHhNVjYwT6rGK0QldUxHjUzibADIjh7o9Xf4eCprrfC5p6O7suT8TnuoBAI9RZEMIj0ynG87AsyQhJZhTPPrm6eV44EwPY6Lze7WuszTesRlK8Q0c32GeuX2AWvh5Nil4KGMryhcfGM6WhhgRz0eqVUgFX0fY1v" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg6TGvivvMd4oZuYM0SCX3iVdiF8iXy-WHhNVjYwT6rGK0QldUxHjUzibADIjh7o9Xf4eCprrfC5p6O7suT8TnuoBAI9RZEMIj0ynG87AsyQhJZhTPPrm6eV44EwPY6Lze7WuszTesRlK8Q0c32GeuX2AWvh5Nil4KGMryhcfGM6WhhgRz0eqVUgFX0fY1v" width="240" /></a></div><br /><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">This was a fun sketch to work with. I started by finding a cut file online for the Bob the Builder logo. It had some tiny cuts for the accents, but I decided to just draw them on since it was much easier and less messy. Instead of the film border, I used this background that reminds me of tire tracks and the colors made me think of caution tape, so all on theme. I used the smooshing technique with Faded Jeans distress oxide ink on my background. For my little embellishment clusters, I used some of the less prominent colors for the banners and used my Cricut again to cut the tools. To finish things off, I used some brads around the title and some gems.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9OM5rYOpnyUFb8RsaJ_IyOKq0Jg3C4v-kB1ZD9ijUo4kerYGg0Y8gRUkpYYiRMg8yTN3BrjbfZwivpuyZ2H5JUWnLbhlkH5Uxhh8WS1XRagWdxxtHsSox37_uxpeIa_BJ4_T-qntkZYBTEtpRdLbb2_OimTG9uiWNqPGmH8Q-jUxybpoWiNOuPv-hbRi2/s3431/Bob%20the%20Builder%202019%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3431" data-original-width="3431" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9OM5rYOpnyUFb8RsaJ_IyOKq0Jg3C4v-kB1ZD9ijUo4kerYGg0Y8gRUkpYYiRMg8yTN3BrjbfZwivpuyZ2H5JUWnLbhlkH5Uxhh8WS1XRagWdxxtHsSox37_uxpeIa_BJ4_T-qntkZYBTEtpRdLbb2_OimTG9uiWNqPGmH8Q-jUxybpoWiNOuPv-hbRi2/w640-h640/Bob%20the%20Builder%202019%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-13843103473726804342024-01-21T13:04:00.002-06:002024-01-21T13:04:07.720-06:00February Calendar Page- Stick It Down<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hi all! I finished my calendar layout for February. Once again, I started with the double page sketch from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10168478783835456&set=oa.901507114615736" target="_blank">Stick It Down</a>:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhloNMrBudht4bawNsJBAdhYcX8UZSv0s68I1HEIHEwLCRpFvkY9v7RiLKpWkt_2NaSfh5Y-Uc9G5A6HQVnvOoYWM5rXTT9hHe_5oKpI9Mfc3VVjbzjUPiRCVYSfQpVSyhIFRhl4uV6PbKYAcXBp4Z0GKXuaB4Vqx6UyKHfiStW7KwKPzFmHlifMTGJpYV8" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhloNMrBudht4bawNsJBAdhYcX8UZSv0s68I1HEIHEwLCRpFvkY9v7RiLKpWkt_2NaSfh5Y-Uc9G5A6HQVnvOoYWM5rXTT9hHe_5oKpI9Mfc3VVjbzjUPiRCVYSfQpVSyhIFRhl4uV6PbKYAcXBp4Z0GKXuaB4Vqx6UyKHfiStW7KwKPzFmHlifMTGJpYV8" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I played around with photo sizes and spacing for this one. I had some horizontal photos I wanted to use, so I made it work. I used my Cricut to cut the title. I cut it three time from the teal cardstock and then stacked the die cuts. I used the hearts from the middle of the outline at the end of the word as embellishments on my page. I took those hearts and ran them through my embossing machine to add some interest and texture. I then took a sanding block to go over the texture and make it stand out. For my journaling, I wrote on strips for the captions of the photos and wrote the rest on the teal paper blocks. To embellish the page, I used some die cuts that had coordinating colors, along with a sprinkle of sequins.</div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNICruI3mKV3iwgazxgJCwOkw-u3zAfbjTs2NDnhOQUDDdDAOpQ7_38aK-VmDjQ9CP5M6lbQlHQbqYRVnonbGkyq3PmLAOalV9sAevKn6o-hbF9EsBPDbDoWZWBwn9h-Ybc5iqZUY7gk-Qz_qy0bqHoqmRnAGEc6sxXkwihvnojetSWsnTN-69_icFz7SR/s5387/February%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2696" data-original-width="5387" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiNICruI3mKV3iwgazxgJCwOkw-u3zAfbjTs2NDnhOQUDDdDAOpQ7_38aK-VmDjQ9CP5M6lbQlHQbqYRVnonbGkyq3PmLAOalV9sAevKn6o-hbF9EsBPDbDoWZWBwn9h-Ybc5iqZUY7gk-Qz_qy0bqHoqmRnAGEc6sxXkwihvnojetSWsnTN-69_icFz7SR/w640-h320/February%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout!<p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-10752405393313697712024-01-19T13:18:00.000-06:002024-01-19T13:18:02.823-06:00Layout Catch Up<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hi all! I have several layouts today! I have been busy creating and they were all created for challenges on Facebook, so I haven't taken the time to post them here.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">First up are a couple of dance layouts that I used sketches as the starting point. Paper Issues is doing a sketch a day this month, so they have lots to pick from right now. Here is the <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10161776887009924&set=oa.404764271980002" target="_blank">first one</a>: </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhqch6_7nQ3RznrUxNAdQdyAaLHOpw8LoUywS3RpAYE58purF5fEVdLBkS3EzCih1IEz7WEIFgiOzZSoBH1VeKt1Mq8cKTzGFLF3hsvX2hE6xJ-GnrL9E5G3h062K3totWVQK-yrXhMVtpHqGc-rfrPX61agSsoDxZxewTnJ-mXS6AESuKc2reDIg3dUsIR" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhqch6_7nQ3RznrUxNAdQdyAaLHOpw8LoUywS3RpAYE58purF5fEVdLBkS3EzCih1IEz7WEIFgiOzZSoBH1VeKt1Mq8cKTzGFLF3hsvX2hE6xJ-GnrL9E5G3h062K3totWVQK-yrXhMVtpHqGc-rfrPX61agSsoDxZxewTnJ-mXS6AESuKc2reDIg3dUsIR" width="240" /></a></div><div style="text-align: left;">I started by using a circle mask to make a "mat" for my photos. I then glued down my photos. I used my Cricut for the balloon swags and the title. I then embellished with rub ons, flair, puffy stickers, and washi tape. I had used an October Afternoon journaling spot for my journaling, but I didn't like the off white on my mostly white layout, so I ended up pulling that off, stamping a new one on white cardstock and using that instead. </div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb7tjWZptvMry_tTUJXZRp1Y5XbpKkujneYMTQ530LNMg2dgJkiSN8yiURKJzCcczzvmOVLM7ex8eXTCVZ3g4UjsPzptkId9ND1oeEGXHQpiZH706s8-hnNmqOtsXwam6AS7dbM2R6as651BpK1KkcQ9IyPySmwnhM0SDd-crrsSSBBM4_QGJd8XpXW0vi/s3588/Red%20Balloon%202019%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3575" data-original-width="3588" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhb7tjWZptvMry_tTUJXZRp1Y5XbpKkujneYMTQ530LNMg2dgJkiSN8yiURKJzCcczzvmOVLM7ex8eXTCVZ3g4UjsPzptkId9ND1oeEGXHQpiZH706s8-hnNmqOtsXwam6AS7dbM2R6as651BpK1KkcQ9IyPySmwnhM0SDd-crrsSSBBM4_QGJd8XpXW0vi/w640-h638/Red%20Balloon%202019%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">My next layout also uses a sketch from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10161766428069924&set=oa.404764271980002" target="_blank">Paper Issues</a>. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhWdA7lTlHPPa09hztGog2jSGIIttXRmQUnlSPDDaUKgGA0AyomBbBdj_hFxVEFrybH6VyNEzidv3QMOJnSXx6WYajrOnFJzejzzvogzPt_NVuHIYtos1aW1zWbLDomVnEtQ2oEoT9mAZyvQGhJeoc7GIma8mj-GinGS3W3kAkbLBbcmrTX9doRWnTuehFR" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="600" data-original-width="600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhWdA7lTlHPPa09hztGog2jSGIIttXRmQUnlSPDDaUKgGA0AyomBbBdj_hFxVEFrybH6VyNEzidv3QMOJnSXx6WYajrOnFJzejzzvogzPt_NVuHIYtos1aW1zWbLDomVnEtQ2oEoT9mAZyvQGhJeoc7GIma8mj-GinGS3W3kAkbLBbcmrTX9doRWnTuehFR" width="240" /></a></div>For this layout, I dug through my stash and found blue papers that matched the costumes in the photos. I cut them all 7" wide and then tore an edge. I adhered them down and then used my sewing machine and stitched down either edge. I then added my photos. I used my Cricut for the title. I found a Project Life journaling card for the info. I used a bit of washi tape to take up some of the extra space on the card. To embellish the page, I used some die cuts and stickers.<br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJD6OAJDRk85WgBAy_pemalMrPXFpuI2prTGGE5HTjLS4qKynMNYUY_Bez7zPpnLj8SeucmhFyUV-_2036fVnu8OTUZugLSrfUS_bWJMIsMDdwfgQJtv5xWAAX8N79M1TzM61-OTc9ma5m4CbENWEvahp-H_7uaL1mwjgiSn4cvzY0_Zpz4RESQLlTn5l8/s3341/Sister%202018%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3333" data-original-width="3341" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJD6OAJDRk85WgBAy_pemalMrPXFpuI2prTGGE5HTjLS4qKynMNYUY_Bez7zPpnLj8SeucmhFyUV-_2036fVnu8OTUZugLSrfUS_bWJMIsMDdwfgQJtv5xWAAX8N79M1TzM61-OTc9ma5m4CbENWEvahp-H_7uaL1mwjgiSn4cvzY0_Zpz4RESQLlTn5l8/w640-h638/Sister%202018%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>Next up, I used the single page sketch from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10168478783895456&set=oa.901507114615736" target="_blank">Stick It Down</a>:</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgX3SBz4s8GNZy5FMJs9UGbSKCWmO_1DBtRQ8R2keFMSBppp3B8DZpNp7J4XfokfS5zZTn3UyAtXelfgkQ04X4z9guNjHAMwj23VIgvqpjS_Q0rA5TgWqsuf-CAPYy8fTzZaam82TtZnnUss9335ifnW5JANRf8r95tpMxOy04LPVHMReHwApzI019QgvlT" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgX3SBz4s8GNZy5FMJs9UGbSKCWmO_1DBtRQ8R2keFMSBppp3B8DZpNp7J4XfokfS5zZTn3UyAtXelfgkQ04X4z9guNjHAMwj23VIgvqpjS_Q0rA5TgWqsuf-CAPYy8fTzZaam82TtZnnUss9335ifnW5JANRf8r95tpMxOy04LPVHMReHwApzI019QgvlT" width="240" /></a></div>For this layout, I started with a sheet of patterned paper. Since it is so busy, I found a coordinating piece of cardstock and trimmed it down the fit in the middle of the page. I went around the edge of the cardstock with a Twisted Citron Distress Stain to darken the edges a bit. I then stuck down the photos. I used my Cricut for the title and red birds. I fussy cut the journaling spot and added my journaling. To embellish the page, I started by stamping some feathers in the background of my embellishment clusters. I then used stickers and die cuts to fill out the clusters.<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio6Vwp_CIodTNpg_6UQaVpZfUJ_vSLBLbwwaZUMQcvSJ9LoZR2DWpm-BQP93zcbwrj-Hp8dn3-ck_bhR1hzCy48Sd3aLf0HIcN5bgHP-91Fnly7wBPwU2dln1-e6Tx8PFKBQaKKDfEB3DLe8Y1oXhN6473I8u1OER-_eZftoznEZCU0H49-XGQzrVHcaAR/s3118/Wonderfully%20Wild%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3111" data-original-width="3118" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEio6Vwp_CIodTNpg_6UQaVpZfUJ_vSLBLbwwaZUMQcvSJ9LoZR2DWpm-BQP93zcbwrj-Hp8dn3-ck_bhR1hzCy48Sd3aLf0HIcN5bgHP-91Fnly7wBPwU2dln1-e6Tx8PFKBQaKKDfEB3DLe8Y1oXhN6473I8u1OER-_eZftoznEZCU0H49-XGQzrVHcaAR/w640-h638/Wonderfully%20Wild%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><p>My last layout is based on a sketch from <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10159208556872047&set=oa.702417812065247" target="_blank">Sketches In Thyme</a>:</p><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhgqxs9sd5CFkT_1CtFwWgYez5v6KBtmMT4Dzw7SlKFNjAIv2tclEzXMc26keUE-ec3RK1O0BHrBjrLhsPwSrCQATJC9yojVVmYSDYEQJlZPBs99l4I0y9aeAzjlUN-IjQAOd-EgM7VWuf3C8oshCxjvgE_RjcepCdIQ8cEXHB0GfJq1CHhE2jYjm7DprHi" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1080" data-original-width="1080" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhgqxs9sd5CFkT_1CtFwWgYez5v6KBtmMT4Dzw7SlKFNjAIv2tclEzXMc26keUE-ec3RK1O0BHrBjrLhsPwSrCQATJC9yojVVmYSDYEQJlZPBs99l4I0y9aeAzjlUN-IjQAOd-EgM7VWuf3C8oshCxjvgE_RjcepCdIQ8cEXHB0GfJq1CHhE2jYjm7DprHi" width="240" /></a></div><br /><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I founds some fun papers that coordinated with my son's shirt in the photo. I debated putting it on colored cardstock or the woodgrain patterned paper. I really like the texture of the wood, so I went with that. Then I found some stamps to add to the background like in the sketch. I used a ticket stamp along with the coordinating punch for my journaling. I used a spray ink to add some splatters before adding my photo and title. I stitched aorund the outside of my layout to create a frame. To embellish the layout, I fussy cut a star, and used some stickers and puffy stickers.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_PBuLfJdqjAeRyPprCRHSpm0ZyEWElH8IgN1EVg5VtcFE7P8k36QOIynwZ5zth3dz9LH27dq_d6g61jibSgo6iEEYxgRXnqHHeeBYeCTf1fcyzmfJrvkY1KVFi10wYYmCGcJPlgTR2q3HPnehSiWzuUwOcRi57jgwuHURXQjWfZhowsBlENww8kaXGkTA/s3047/Hello%204%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3036" data-original-width="3047" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_PBuLfJdqjAeRyPprCRHSpm0ZyEWElH8IgN1EVg5VtcFE7P8k36QOIynwZ5zth3dz9LH27dq_d6g61jibSgo6iEEYxgRXnqHHeeBYeCTf1fcyzmfJrvkY1KVFi10wYYmCGcJPlgTR2q3HPnehSiWzuUwOcRi57jgwuHURXQjWfZhowsBlENww8kaXGkTA/w640-h638/Hello%204%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> Thanks for stopping by to check out my layouts!<p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-60990686007011220842024-01-05T15:26:00.001-06:002024-01-05T15:26:11.669-06:00Dan Patch Days (Take 3)<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello, I got another layout done this week! It is my third child's layout about our city festival 9 years ago. I started with this sketch with is part of the current challenge at <a href="https://kcclayoutchallenges.blogspot.com/2023/12/lm-682-sketch-challenge-with-scrappy.html" target="_blank">Lasting Memories</a>:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjzCftjKKiVIUmBZavjk3nHIWj3S3qcnsH7U13mtmsLJCGClBvh5e3VOgATQVXfBHb8-xmsb66ZY5MqI40YL-MfVxU1BQa-vtwQgfAYM8Rs0r0QkvKwrxbzSCB2OdOFsDRwFSSD0lPQCTz8m73-EHVpTge0SqhQzUxVxBuD5XDCcUXKDPrw9id8AiL_FQFK" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1920" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjzCftjKKiVIUmBZavjk3nHIWj3S3qcnsH7U13mtmsLJCGClBvh5e3VOgATQVXfBHb8-xmsb66ZY5MqI40YL-MfVxU1BQa-vtwQgfAYM8Rs0r0QkvKwrxbzSCB2OdOFsDRwFSSD0lPQCTz8m73-EHVpTge0SqhQzUxVxBuD5XDCcUXKDPrw9id8AiL_FQFK" width="240" /></a></div><br /><div style="text-align: left;">I adjusted the photo sizes a bit to work with the photos I had, but I stuck pretty close to the layout. My background paper is one with a resist, so I used a Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink pad and drug it over the outside edge of the paper to give it the color. I then found some other bold colored papers to go with my photos. The other part of the Lasting Memories challenge is to use punches, so I pulled out my larger banner punch to create the banner for my title and my tag punch for the green polka dot tag in the top left. I used my Cricut to cut my title and the photo frame. This was a total stash busting layout since I dug around all my odds and ends to find pieces that coordinated. I used some very old chipboard pieces for my journaling spot and embellishment. I found some old stickers, a brad and a gromlet to found out the embellishments. I added some blue splatters around the page to finish it off. </div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQsesvx2CCoCnodoirrh3J0S1ZBAz5CPikOVpTHmBdg14-avY39-VRToh5yBv9JFPuMHzyzDlCd_ZgNB8c51Avo40V8zv1-yi9TbJ-a4oUV-yvGYje9J3fs-DJDmsjnljdVas48xe7oJn-EEdbMbin6CkZHlX5-Gm5xbwTiWky3KGHVhtoSF7wDSIKVKVP/s3338/Dan%20Patch%20Days%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3329" data-original-width="3338" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQsesvx2CCoCnodoirrh3J0S1ZBAz5CPikOVpTHmBdg14-avY39-VRToh5yBv9JFPuMHzyzDlCd_ZgNB8c51Avo40V8zv1-yi9TbJ-a4oUV-yvGYje9J3fs-DJDmsjnljdVas48xe7oJn-EEdbMbin6CkZHlX5-Gm5xbwTiWky3KGHVhtoSF7wDSIKVKVP/w640-h638/Dan%20Patch%20Days%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-1833494512617955602024-01-03T14:02:00.006-06:002024-01-03T14:02:46.362-06:00Sunrise, Sunset<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello, I have a new layout to share today based on this sketch from <a href="https://rochellespears.blogspot.com/2023/12/january-2024-sketch-challenge-reveal.html" target="_blank">Rochelle Spears:</a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh7hzfyBU3izqat_fUOh5cc6G5ab_k88_uu1RxXeitiP1sAXXvQd4F3S6IwCstjMoPLTAPIAx9AWfNgFAbU4CIibN5A5K5yBoy4IrgWR73gsUQlbdYiXocfk0-cENTnlajZvzxqJHN6yq6Hh4rBqhDAYKHPm5h1utEPgOvkHwgNAc86n2mYnvldsuA2aKEt" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="" data-original-height="640" data-original-width="640" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEh7hzfyBU3izqat_fUOh5cc6G5ab_k88_uu1RxXeitiP1sAXXvQd4F3S6IwCstjMoPLTAPIAx9AWfNgFAbU4CIibN5A5K5yBoy4IrgWR73gsUQlbdYiXocfk0-cENTnlajZvzxqJHN6yq6Hh4rBqhDAYKHPm5h1utEPgOvkHwgNAc86n2mYnvldsuA2aKEt" width="240" /></a></div><br />I rotated the sketch 90 degrees to accomodate the size and orientation of my photos. These photos had me digging DEEP into my stash. I tend to gravitate towards bright colors so finding these neutrals was a bit of a challenge. I started by cutting the large piece of patterned paper. Then I cut the lace paper and fussy cut around the lace. I added the vellum for a bit of sparkle. The journaling spot was from the same line as the lace, so I used that and then used the yellow as an accent color. For embellishments, I used some very old Heidi Grace stickers and chipboard. I used me Cricut to cut the title. Before adhering the title and photos, I splattered a bit of light brown Glimmer mist on the layout. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbvl2tWDsNTKZckxvmpSK7p6L_8V6D-h8DiuEZg4gK346m3_ArIg9s6RmDW06ow545OLXy28FBpdzBsrXxPxwC7MulEAMTr9OidtJvmCrZahqXcUUY_FWHL6sRBf67OnnE5BHBiSO3G6EuUmV32I5lZmqD4iTxNk9LbbpOkT25cy8ErQJRtCxZS9ea6Qts/s3273/Sunrise%20Sunset%202018%20wm.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3251" data-original-width="3273" height="636" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjbvl2tWDsNTKZckxvmpSK7p6L_8V6D-h8DiuEZg4gK346m3_ArIg9s6RmDW06ow545OLXy28FBpdzBsrXxPxwC7MulEAMTr9OidtJvmCrZahqXcUUY_FWHL6sRBf67OnnE5BHBiSO3G6EuUmV32I5lZmqD4iTxNk9LbbpOkT25cy8ErQJRtCxZS9ea6Qts/w640-h636/Sunrise%20Sunset%202018%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> I also used the Tic Tac Toe board from <a href="https://scrapwithstacy.blogspot.com/2024/01/scrappy-friends-january-2024-tic-tac.html" target="_blank">Scrap With Stac</a>y. I'm back today with a few more cards.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">First up is another card using a Turnabout stamp. This time it was the Marble one. Once again, I started with Versamark and embossing powder, this time is was pearl embossing powder. Once I had the background done, I cut the sentiment. The glitter paper was actually supposed to be an outline, but it got too thin, so I used the neagative and used that insted for the layer. I wanted a little more of the glitter paper, so I cut and added some stars to finish off the card.</div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsILuOzfD4bWjQK70IG8Jih5VrMX6E7fp9tGheR2w89ZpVOSVG2folJMGWPmQWIoCA-QVW-Zq3KQoZp3W-A69M07siil_QJ5i1s2znFsenxp0HonYamHYkcPGdqx70pjWvFyzkMHWZWswMG1DgjD_ighm_j8IeJtyWzZvvxru_Np_MHPST2ci5T_N0bG1S/s3037/Kjersti's%20birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3037" data-original-width="2380" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsILuOzfD4bWjQK70IG8Jih5VrMX6E7fp9tGheR2w89ZpVOSVG2folJMGWPmQWIoCA-QVW-Zq3KQoZp3W-A69M07siil_QJ5i1s2znFsenxp0HonYamHYkcPGdqx70pjWvFyzkMHWZWswMG1DgjD_ighm_j8IeJtyWzZvvxru_Np_MHPST2ci5T_N0bG1S/w502-h640/Kjersti's%20birthday.jpg" width="502" /></a><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I used my dot circle background stamp for these last two backgrounds. For this one, I used clear embossing powder and then sprayed it with Shiny Bauble and Merry Mint Distress Mica Stains. I used my Cricut to cut the sentiment and then glued it to my card front. I colored some of the cardstock pieces with a gold pen to add another color. The stars I covered with Glossy Accents. I added a few gold foil stars to finish off the card front. Before I attached the front panel to my card base, I rubbed a Versamark ink pad around the edges and added some gold embossing powder to give me a gold border.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWAnr0iKRPGs_JMn9f5z3XDIHSHeWSDEpppudoGXXaOGegCNTPZOXZ-SLA_ZOHV2kkAeaByJn2deRZODa93pfagCOEd2wKftb2XAvPDOvnz259iyKEze943QfoZD7gdpXXyRX4agLts5qEt2-gh5W6JPC8seckyrJY-UgYQJ5Pgg05eZ4tMAEAUw09w3fL/s2800/Brad%20B's%20birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2800" data-original-width="2296" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWAnr0iKRPGs_JMn9f5z3XDIHSHeWSDEpppudoGXXaOGegCNTPZOXZ-SLA_ZOHV2kkAeaByJn2deRZODa93pfagCOEd2wKftb2XAvPDOvnz259iyKEze943QfoZD7gdpXXyRX4agLts5qEt2-gh5W6JPC8seckyrJY-UgYQJ5Pgg05eZ4tMAEAUw09w3fL/w524-h640/Brad%20B's%20birthday.jpg" width="524" /></a></div></div><br /> Finally, I have a card I made for my son. He has really been into the card game Lorcana, so I found some SVGs of the icons used in the game. I used the circle background again, but this time I embossed it with gold embossing powder. I used some of the circls as frames for the icons.I cut the icons and sentiment from gold foil paper. I added a black shadow to the sentiment. To get the black border, I rubbed a black ink pad on my card base and glued my panel onto it.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYemCF7IvH_NtFfYhznPJ1e5pn6sMxm_A-xy3d-q5jWF7brrb-4LWZmTKsaVncGsKYmVG3elBAtXFJyKFVYsZVulrS6tOLTFaSfLeWMx9Zhbz3RT_m8yzWBPOdkVxan9xViOjSobJl84HrFJnMin0trRetObQ8pcjJiCh6PdszXW5sztRTEpgufMc0hNs1/s2776/Nck's%20birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2179" data-original-width="2776" height="502" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiYemCF7IvH_NtFfYhznPJ1e5pn6sMxm_A-xy3d-q5jWF7brrb-4LWZmTKsaVncGsKYmVG3elBAtXFJyKFVYsZVulrS6tOLTFaSfLeWMx9Zhbz3RT_m8yzWBPOdkVxan9xViOjSobJl84HrFJnMin0trRetObQ8pcjJiCh6PdszXW5sztRTEpgufMc0hNs1/w640-h502/Nck's%20birthday.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>Thanks for stopping by to check out all my cards, I am ready to go for the first half of the month!<p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-404341248631017492024-01-02T11:24:00.003-06:002024-01-02T11:24:24.122-06:00Birthday Cards 1<p>Hello all! I have been busy the last few days making birthday cards for birthdays that are coming up in the next couple of weeks. I will share some today, and a few more tomorrow.</p><p>First up is a shaker card I made for my niece who will turn two next week. I wanted to make a cute shaker so I went on Cricut Design space and found this cupcake cut. I cut it and backed the dollop on top with some pink glitter paper and the wrapper with purple shimmer cardstock. For the background, I stamped the dot circle background on watercolor paper and heat embossed it with clear powder. I sprayed the panel with Cocktail Party and Shiny Bauble Distress Mica Stains, overlapping the colors to get the purple in the middle. Once that was dry, I rubbed the ink off the embossing to make it stand out more. I assembled the sentiment cut on my card and then cut thin strips of foam adhesive and outlined the cupcake. I filled the well it created with sequins and seed beads then I pressed it onto my card front. <br /></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJV0l6t_jKLFfFurdSuYBKJ_SbGxp-UTl-zZD_brZbQHI2Ohcd9jy-WMqwUoXSB8OFiQzfl5E9qvkay3AL1xk4ecQfyXj4OYwKKtO96OvpOoyjf59DAaA_tczRZd-XipJ2LRx1KUcNdPA7ttCvUa8V7v3xuSgnB5kO3xqwxe42u-HwWCVhQNopOpzoH9io/s2805/Birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_czD39ki2_0J6qEpyf3Z6ZrULnndeaZwpKvwGLXQUjBTO8cP-lzJ2zcx3zNjxUHfWOYvR4DApYd-RxJTPlCsEEf0ZenwjPsropzgvZQ0pN9hAHUPSt2pv968l4dwudUyUZUxu297qPrAokcTYEhiPQ6ALp9VpAzYhYW-XjPH8MReHOJdFjqkdVTpBpQzK/s2955/Mariella's%20birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2955" data-original-width="2308" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh_czD39ki2_0J6qEpyf3Z6ZrULnndeaZwpKvwGLXQUjBTO8cP-lzJ2zcx3zNjxUHfWOYvR4DApYd-RxJTPlCsEEf0ZenwjPsropzgvZQ0pN9hAHUPSt2pv968l4dwudUyUZUxu297qPrAokcTYEhiPQ6ALp9VpAzYhYW-XjPH8MReHOJdFjqkdVTpBpQzK/w500-h640/Mariella's%20birthday.jpg" width="500" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">The card below has a very similar process, but I used a different background stamp and I used a stamp for the sentiment instead. This cupcake was actually the one I cut for the card above, but then I realized it was too big to go with the sentiment I cut- oops! I kept it and created this second card. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><p style="text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2805" data-original-width="2253" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJV0l6t_jKLFfFurdSuYBKJ_SbGxp-UTl-zZD_brZbQHI2Ohcd9jy-WMqwUoXSB8OFiQzfl5E9qvkay3AL1xk4ecQfyXj4OYwKKtO96OvpOoyjf59DAaA_tczRZd-XipJ2LRx1KUcNdPA7ttCvUa8V7v3xuSgnB5kO3xqwxe42u-HwWCVhQNopOpzoH9io/w514-h640/Birthday.jpg" width="514" /><br /></p>Next up is a pair of cards I created using a Concord and 8th Turnabout stamp. I started by making a 6x6 panel of white cardstock and stamped the butterflies 4 times, starting with Versamark and heat embossing with silver. Once I finished the stamping, I cut the panel in half to make two cards. I found this peachy pink cardstock in my scraps that matched my pink ink, so I cut that to the size of a card front and stamped a subtle background with white pigment ink. I cut the sentiment with my Cricut from holographic cardstock. To make it stand out a bit from the background, I backed the flower with yellow vellum, the sentiment circle with white vellum and the butterfly with pink vellum (which you can't see because it overlaps the pink cardstock. I then attached it to my card.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzmzVqG3ugl6ucfJYFrgwUe8_dvxWQhUDgNmWJMztMaCezQtVgpY2DuqwHr59zljQO6UC8C2IUm8g30iJiPWi3c0TUEY808q1EEJ35BgUSCIJQqaKS93UdaSVDMusOlVHLFvpAYz3XtJcYrPlq4vk0bzJ1H-HZDT3-VZZTOKHX-AMTvt5y_61Xary_oAJg/s2934/Leila's%20birthday.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2934" data-original-width="2262" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzmzVqG3ugl6ucfJYFrgwUe8_dvxWQhUDgNmWJMztMaCezQtVgpY2DuqwHr59zljQO6UC8C2IUm8g30iJiPWi3c0TUEY808q1EEJ35BgUSCIJQqaKS93UdaSVDMusOlVHLFvpAYz3XtJcYrPlq4vk0bzJ1H-HZDT3-VZZTOKHX-AMTvt5y_61Xary_oAJg/w494-h640/Leila's%20birthday.jpg" width="494" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I cut this sentiment from coordinating blue cardstock and attached it to my card front. Today I have another dance layout to share! I was inspired by<a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=10161718627074924&set=oa.647877877424066" target="_blank"> Day 4</a> of the 12 days of Christmas challenge at Paper Issues- 4 word title, 3 accent papers (I went over on this one), 2 photos and one sheet of cardstock (or I went over on this one, depending how you count it). </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I started with the black and blue color scheme and cut the two large blocks of patterned paper and used a border punch to create the strip across the bottome. Then I looked up the movie poster for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang to get some further inspiration as to how to embellish the layout and the title was red and yellow. I decided to go with orange and yellow and add them to my layout. I cut the car with my Cricut, as well as the title. I found a chipboard frame for my journaling and then finished the embellishing with a little phrase die cut, puffy stickers, washi tape, some silver brads, and black gems.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsPS_8uqduLz3HLmxmolXx6z9uK8st9oIv0ZKYZ2eOBu2DhDvaCU70vOzh1gx6lH9rDXoW5rtKSTnr3KIT-tgrA9HtH2c4Fj0zVfCNvrkpsVHYcfAB-HObl3a_JAZhe97eF0cs2ryjniAxM1zhAhyphenhyphenjnUhquU88086CjdhWuengW9JZW2zMA4-frX-3fb6t/s3643/Chitty%20Chitty%20Bang%20Bang%202019%20wm.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3643" data-original-width="3641" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsPS_8uqduLz3HLmxmolXx6z9uK8st9oIv0ZKYZ2eOBu2DhDvaCU70vOzh1gx6lH9rDXoW5rtKSTnr3KIT-tgrA9HtH2c4Fj0zVfCNvrkpsVHYcfAB-HObl3a_JAZhe97eF0cs2ryjniAxM1zhAhyphenhyphenjnUhquU88086CjdhWuengW9JZW2zMA4-frX-3fb6t/w640-h640/Chitty%20Chitty%20Bang%20Bang%202019%20wm.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8592078934471794567.post-48748972554676159032023-12-26T11:55:00.000-06:002023-12-26T11:55:00.393-06:00Happy Anniversary card- Sketch Saturday<p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Hello, I have a new card to create today! I started with this sketch from <a href="https://sketchsaturday.blogspot.com/2023/12/sketch-741.html" target="_blank">Sketch Saturday</a>:</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><img height="320" src="https://lh7-us.googleusercontent.com/PC-p1k7q_5Gbe2pRDZO3Iark-o31za1YS3_wdYpZTvtojI-wwxWvEhEcFtd-zkeEL7e0VnEXJ8Xqa4huYKQwRb_7OXzay74oIf_T49gnjJF8Ivz7HOLga9GC3q1SmTnWZQGhtqVHTfHTirGWJmatXm0=w248-h320" style="font-family: "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif; font-size: 10pt; font-weight: 700; margin-left: 0px; margin-top: 0px; white-space-collapse: preserve;" width="248" /></div></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I found the yellow patterned paper scrap in my stash and it was the size of a card front. I trimmed part of it off. I used the part I trimmed off as a pattern for the cardstock pieces down the side. Once I had all of those adhered to the card front, I realized I had attached everything backwards (the card opened to the left). I pulled up the patterned paper panel and just flipped it over. That is why my card is flipped from the sketch. I then added the daisy ribbon, stamped and heat embossed the sentiment and created a little flag. To add a little more interest to the front of the card, I used some pink Nuvo drops and gold Liquid Pearls to go over some of the dots in the heart.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3fr_PPZ0yKmuac6nKKrmnRJflhfX0SkYAVVxBhZUn9zSnb5Ls4v52fkxUDPbht26YUEws2qo5NdTSu5rW3VFnB41Jcl2coj-0BI04eopH5d92APz0wk99xcmwqxv8sH8gVphcRABcJDp-VXZ96nUg3ayx82y1Vi0hviJrZ4WAB59Tu0aoRYv11k_u3Mwk/s3912/Brad%20and%20Tess's%20anniversary.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="3912" data-original-width="3371" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3fr_PPZ0yKmuac6nKKrmnRJflhfX0SkYAVVxBhZUn9zSnb5Ls4v52fkxUDPbht26YUEws2qo5NdTSu5rW3VFnB41Jcl2coj-0BI04eopH5d92APz0wk99xcmwqxv8sH8gVphcRABcJDp-VXZ96nUg3ayx82y1Vi0hviJrZ4WAB59Tu0aoRYv11k_u3Mwk/w552-h640/Brad%20and%20Tess's%20anniversary.jpg" width="552" /></a></div><br /> <p></p>Jessicahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11845212740837266858noreply@blogger.com0
