I'm back today with a layout I finished a few days ago. I was inspired by the Throwback Thursday challenge at My Scraps And More for last Thursday. The challenge was to use a collection that was at least 3 years old. I pulled out my Basic Grey "Porcelain" collection. I'm thinking that one is about 5 years old!
I made this layout about a friend's baby shower (that baby is now 3 1/2 years old!). I printed the photos as a photo collage and built my layout around them. I used the photo collage as a pocket for the invitation. I wanted to add some pattern to my background cardstock so I used my Stamping Gear and some pink ink to stamp the pattern.
To highlight the photo of the sweet baby of honor, I used a felt frame. The actual frame had already been used, so I used the felt that was left around it to cut another one. I used some canvas flowers to embellish the layout. I inked them with some yellow and pink inks to make them match the colors in my layout. I finished them off with some buttons. Rather than using string in the holes of the buttons, I squirted some platinum Stickles in them for a different look.
The other part of the challenge was to used 3 stickers from the collection. I used a journaling sticker, the flower, and a circle sticker that I stuck to a button.
