Daisy Dash- Take 3

Hello all! I have a new layout to share. We are in the middle of a snow storm, so no driving kids around means that I have some extra time to get some scrapping done.

I decided to tackle the last Daisy Dash layout. I started with this sketch from Sketches In Thyme:

I used the sketch for the left page. I used my Cricut to cut the circle and title. I pulled out some papers that I mostly have scraps and cut them into rectangles to tuck under my photos. I then decided to splatter some inks on my background, so I snapped a photo with my phone and moved everything off the background. Once the ink was dry, I adhered everything down. I adhered the title with foam adhesive for dimension. I embellished the layout with some flowers that were premade, fussy cut and stickers. I added a couple of word stickers around the page. I finished the page off by adding gems to the center of the flowers in my title and a couple around the page.
Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout!

Daisy Dash- Sketches In Thyme

Hello! I finished a layout last week and I'm here to share it today. I started with this sketch from Sketches In Thyme:
I used the sketch for my left hand page and stuck pretty close to the sketch. For my right page, I clustered my photos and the bib and then used patterend paper scraps to surround my photos. I cut my title and the triangles with my Cricut. To embellish the page, I used stickers from various sources, an epoxy flair piece and some puffy stickers.

Thanks for checking out my layout!

Valentines- Post 3

Hello! Happy Valentine's Day! I'm back with my last couple of Valentines to share. First up is the card I made for my husband. As I mentioned yesterday, I made a panel using alcohol inks. I only needed a small part of it for the hearts for my sons' cards, so I used the rest on my husband's card. I stamped a script background stamp in black and attached it to a piece of black cardstock. I cut the sentiment and heart using my Cricut. I added a little shimmer to the heart using a Wink of Stella pen. To finish off the card, I tied a piece of red ribbon across the bottom. I did the middle row of this week's Tic Tac Toe Challenge board:

Finally, I have the card I made for my youngest son. I started by making a cloud mask with some white copy paper. I just freehand cut the curves and then used various parts and white pigment ink to make the clouds on my background. To make the shaker, I used clear packaging and cut it to wrap around the panel. I glued three sides down on the back and then dropped in some sequins and stars. I stamped, watercolored (with Distress inks and metallic watercolors the cat and balloons. I stamped the sentiment on the middle balloon once the paint was dry. I attached the side balloons directly onto the panel and used foam adhesive for the cat and middle balloon for some dimension.

Valentines- Post 2

Hello! I'm back with a couple more Valentines to share. I was inspired by the current card sketch at Stick It Down:
I started by making a panel using red, orange and pink alcohol inks. I also pounced some copper mixative onto the panel for some shine. While that was drying, I cut a bunch of hearts from red and pink patterned papers, using my Cricut. Once the alcohol ink was dry, I cut the hearts from that paper. I wanted to make the alcohol ink hearts stand out a bit, so I cut a bunch of black hearts to match my background. I layered three of those under each of my alcohol inked hearts. Once I had all of my hearts adhered down, I decided I needed a frame for my front panel, so I used a scoring board and did an outline. I cut the sentiment from rose gold metallic paper. To make sure the sentiment was well supported, I cut it from black cardstock, then cut out the areas where there were popped up hearts, and layered that behind my sentiment before attaching it to my card.

Valentines- Post 1

Hi all! I've been busy making Valentines for my husband and kids the last few days and I will be sharing them over the next few days. First up is this pair of cards:

I have done a very similar design before using this same set of masks. the masks make a 6x6 image. For these flowers, I used pink and red inks for the flowers, greens for the stems and yellow Stickles gel for the flower centers. Once the Stickles was dry, I cut the image in half and trimmed it down to fit on a card. For the smaller panel, I used the coordinating stamp and stamped it on some matching pink cardstock in white pigment ink and heat embossed it with pearl embossing powder. I trimmed that piece down to fit down the side of the card. For the sentiment, I used the insides from a Cricut cut that I used on a couple of other cards ( I will share those tomorrow. For the transition between the two panels, I used some white sparkly ribbon. The colors of these cards are inspired by the candy hearts challenge at Color Dare:

I used light and dark pink, green and yellow (Stickles). Thanks for  stopping by to check out my cards!

Daisy Dash and Smile- Scrapping with Sketches

Hello all, I have two new layouts using old products to share today! First up is a two page layout using a sketch from Sketches in Thyme:

I used the sketch for my left hand page of this two pager. I moved the title so you could see more of the number on the bib. I pulled these very old purple papers from my stash. I'm so happy I finally used them! I only had one sheet of the dark purple cardstock, so I decided to use the distressed purple patterned paper for my second page. To embellish the page, I cut my title and daisies using my Cricut. I also used a glue rub on and a daisy stamp that I heat embossed with Heat and Bond powder and then I used a pink glitter on them for some sparkle. I finished embellishing my page with enamel dots, washi tape, wood veneer triangles, and a couple of word stickers.

Next is a layout using a sketch from Paper Issues.

I again found some old papers. The triangles on the sides were cut from paper designed like that, so I just cut along the lines. I found this floral tile piece of October Afternoon paper that worked color wise. I felt like the page needed a "frame," so I pulled out my sewing machine and stitched around the page. To embellish the page, I pulled out a sheet of old Basic Grey stickers that worked with my color. I cut the rose and multicolor doily in half and placed pieces on either side. I put the heart on dark red cardstock and cut it out to make it stand out more. I finished off the page with dots of gold liquid pearls.
