March Calendar Page

Hello all! I have my calendar page for the month of March to share. I was inspired by this month's double sketch at Stick It Down:
I packed a lot more photos into this layout than was suggested by the sketch by dividing the large photo spots into two on the left page and creating a photo collage that spanned the right page. I used my Cricut to create the large circle die cut on the left page and for my title. I ended up using some older products on this layout, including some very old die cut felt and grungeboard. I used brads and enamel dots to finish off my embellishments.

Birthday Girl

Hello! I have a new layout to share! I was inspired by the current challenge at Scrap Our Stash:

I made my photos bigger and added a photo, but otherwise stuck pretty close to the sketch. I used polka dot paper under my largest photo and used blue and silver glitter washi tape in my embellishment clusters. The ocean themed Echo Park paper tied in nicely with my daughter's dolphin cake. I used my Cricut to cut the title for my page.

Trick or Treat

Hello again! I have one last Halloween layout to share from 2012, this one for my oldest son. I was inspired by the scraplift challenge in the Paper Issues group on Facebook. You can see the inspiration layout here.

The inspiration layout had a bunch of squares of patterned paper scattered behind the photos, which is a great thing to do when you are getting down to scraps of paper. My Halloween paper stash is starting to get pretty thin, so this was perfect! I cut some squares in a couple of sizes and tucked them around my photos. I glued all of them down and then spritzed and splattered my background with some inks. I then added my photos. For my title, I used my Cricut to cut the letters from cardstock and thin cardboard. I layered the pieces together to give the letters a bit of dimension. I also cut the pumpkins with my Cricut. All this die cutting is perfect for the Lasting Memories Challenge to use die cuts! I finished off the  layout with a few stickers, buttons, and gold star sequins.
I really like how this layout turned out, it is different from the girls' layouts, a little more free form.

Baby's First Bath

Hi all! I have a new layout to share! I ended up making it without any inspiration from challenges, just played with some product and put the layout together. This adorable baby collection is by Pebbles and I love the soft colors. I fussy cut the whales from a piece of patterned paper and used my Cricut to cut the title. The other little bits and pieces are die cuts from the collection. I embellished the layout with some Nuvo drops that I shaped into water splashes and added some quick journaling.

Thanks for stopping by to check it out!

You're Bootiful

Hello, I have another last to share! This time it is my second daughter's Halloween layout from 2012. For this layout, I was inspired by one of the February PageMaps:
I added another photo to the layout and did a journaling card instead of strips. For embellishments, I stamped the pumpkin and candy corn and fussy cut them. I added glossy accents to the candy corn for some shine and dimension. I combined a few different fonts for my title and filled in the stars with glue and glitter to add some green and sparkle to the title area.
I was inspired by the current challenge at Lasting Memories, which is to use those forgotten punches. I used a border punch on the stopped patterned paper to give it an interesting edge.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout!

Februdary Calendar Page

Hi all! I completed my February calendar page the other day and I'm here to share it. I was inspired by the double page sketch for January at Stick It Down:

I stuck pretty close to the sketch, but instead of a large photo on the right page, I did a large photo collage. For my background, I used a stencil and blended some pink and red Distress inks over it. I highlighted a few of the hearts with glitter gel. I ended up usind no patterned paper on this layout! I pulled a bunch of heart and pink embellishments and layered them up around the page. I used up a pack of rub ons and a pack of brads- hooray! I used strip stickers for my journaling.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my project!
