October Calendar Page

Hi all! I hope you are having a fabulous week! I got a chance to scrapbook this week and have my calendar page ready for next month! I started with this sketch from Stick it Down:
This sketch challenged me a bit as I like to line my photos up, but I eventually figured out how to make it work.

I started by finding this flower cut that had openings  for the petals and filled the openings with patterned paper.

I then stamped leaves on my background cardstock using a very old Stampin Up set that I absolutely love. I also cut some leaves from patterned paper to add some dimension.

Once the layout was assembled, I decided it needed a bit more so I added the sequins with the leaves. I am also entering this in the Scrapping Everyday Miracles Birthday Crop challenge #2, which was tic-tac-toe. I chose the diagonal from top left to lower right: 3+ photos, patterned paper, and a sketch. Finally, Paper Issues has a challenge going on right now called "How 'Bout Them Apples" which includes making a layout about fall. Since this layout is about October, it is definitely about fall!

Materials:
Cardstock- Bazzill, Michael's
Patterned Paper- Jillibean Soup, October Afternoon
Ink- Ranger
Stamps- Stampin Up
Thickers- American Crafts

  6. What an awesome double-page layout. I love the use of so many mediums, especially the leaves inked to cover from one page to the other. The filled flower is great. It must have taken a bit. Here's hoping we see more from you next month. Thanks so much for joining us at Stick It Down.
