Outside
I haven't been outside much at all this week, but here is Nick all bundled up in his seat ready to go outside for the first time to make the trip home from the hospital.

Here is one of the photos I cheated on. Yes, that is me, so that means I didn't actually take that one myself, my husband did. I really like this photo of Nick and me, taken minutes after he was born, and the waves of matted hair on the back of his just-born head.

A Cup Of...
Coffee! Throughout this pregnancy I became a major coffee drinker, needing a little "pick-me-up" nearly every day. (Don't worry, I only had one cup per day which is permitted. :)) My parents got me a coffee maker for Christmas, so I think this is a habit that will carry on!
Reflect
This photo is not from this week (obviously), but it is the last photo we took of our 3 kids before there was 4. Having a new baby has made me think back to when we brought Will home 2 1/2 years ago and how different it is this time because both girls are older than what Ellie was at that time which means they are more able to help out. All three kids have been pretty eager to help so far, which has been great, but I know it won't always be that way!

ReplyDeleteoh your sweet new baby!!! i was thankful that my december boy was born in florida... not too much bundling for an outdoor excursion!!! those baby feet put me over the edge... baby feet and open baby eyes are the sweetest in the first few weeks!!!

ReplyDeleteLove, love your photos! My but you look awesome after just having gave birth! Nick is just as adorable as can be as are your other three children. I have 6 boys and when we had our 6th he was considerable younger than the other 5. 14 years between him and the oldest and 8 years between our then youngest. All five boys were such a huge help. As a matter of fact I had to ask them if I could give my youngest son a bath! lol We'd go to Wal-Mart and they all would argue over who was going to get to push him in the cart. And belive it or not it lasted. Now my baby is 17 years old! Don't know when that happened! lol Enjoys these years because it really is true that they are adults in the blink of an eye. Wanted to tell you that I'm a Catholic as well in PA.
