CAS(E) This Sketch- Birthday Card

Welcome! I hope the start of the week is going well for you! I am back today with a birthday card I made for my nephew's 1st birthday. I was inspired by this sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch:

I started with the fish stamp and decided to go with a blue/water theme. I went with circles to suggest bubbles. I used Core'dinations cardstock for my background and heat embossed and sanded it. For the fish, I stamped the image with Archival ink, colored it in with watercolor pencils and blended the color with my clear Wink of Stella pen. I dried it with my heat tool. I then colored over the whole thing with my Versamark pen and covered it with clear embossing powder. I repeated the process to add a little more shine. I inked the edges to make it stand out and attached it with some foam adhesive. I finished it off with a stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a flag.

Scrapping Everyday Miracles- Wedding Card

Hello! I am here today to share a card I made a couple of weeks ago for my cousin's wedding. I started with this sketch from Scrapping Everyday Miracles:

I started with some purple shimmer cardstock to match the wedding colors. I wend monochomatic with the rest of the papers, using black and white patterned paper and transparency with silver polka dots. I stamped and heat embossed the dress and sentiment in silver. I used some pearlized white ink to accent some of the dress .I finished the card off with a piece of silver rick- rack.

October Calendar Page: Stick It Down September Double Page Sketch

Hi all! I got my calendar page done early this month and joined the double page team at Stick It Down. Here is the sketch for the month:

I played around with the placement of the photos and the sizes of the photos to get more on this layout. To start my page, I used a leaf mask and some spray ink . Once that was dry, I layered on the patterned papers. I cut some leaves using my Cricut from a sheet of dark red/brown paper. I didn't have my blade set quite right, so the inner pieces were a little challenging to get out. I ended up rubbing brown metallic Gelato over a few that I didn't punch out the pieces. The Gelato did a nice job of highlighting the texture created by the cuts. I used a few pieces of Grungeboard on my page for some dimension. I started by painting them with Gesso and then sprayed them with ink. Once they were dry I used an ink blending tool and added the blue to them.

Materials:
Cardstock- My Mind's Eye
Patterned Paper- October Afternoon, Me and My Big Ideas, Pink Paislee, Provo Craft
Ink- Tattered Angels, Ranger, Heidi Swapp
Gesso- Liquitex
Brads- Michael's
Badge and Tape- October Afternoon
Sticker- Simple Stories

Stick It Down September Card Sketch

Hello! The card team's projects went up yesterday at Stick It Down! Here is the sketch we got to work with this month:

I played with a few colors of ink and some flower stamps for my background. The butterfly was stamped, heat embossed and fussy cut from vellum. I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and cut it into a banner before layering it onto the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Love card

Good morning! I have another card to share today. This time I had two pieces of inspiration. First was this week's sketch from Mojo Monday:

The second was this beautiful picture from Inspired by All the Little Things:
I started with my favorite sunflower stamp and used some Distress Inks and a water brush to watercolor the heat embossed image on watercolor paper. I then found some coordinating papers and edged them with Walnut Stain Distress ink. I layered those up and added a stamped and heat embossed sentiment to the front and added a bit of Distress Stickles to the center of the flower.

Sweet Birthday- CAS(E) This Sketch

Hi all! I'm back with a card I made this weekend for my niece. I started with this sketch from CAS(E) This Sketch:

I pulled out a Bo Bunny 6x6 pad and was drawn to the donut paper, so I based my design around that. I pulled some scraps out for the background and flags. I continued the donut theme with some eyelets in my flags. A stamped sentiment and glitter glue "frosting" on one of the donuts finished off the card. I stamped "We hope your birthday was sweet!" on the inside.

September Calendar Page

Hello all! It's been a while! Unfortunately, I can't promise my posting is going to get more consistent anytime soon. I (finally) have my September calendar page to share. I used the August 2 page sketch from Stick It Down:

I pulled out some fun papers from Echo Park's "Country Drive" collection that I picked up recently at my local scrapbook store. I matted my photos with cardstock that coordinated with the colors in my patterned paper. For my title, I used mostly Thickers, but I was short some e's, so I cut those using my Cricut and coordinating cardstock. I decorated my page with some stickers, rub ons and flowers.

Materials:
Cardstock- My Mind's Eye, Bazzill, Michael's
Patterned Paper- Echo Park
Stickers- Echo Park, Bo Bunny Press
Flowers- The Paper Studio
Chipboard- American Crafts
Rub Ons- Crate Paper
Gem- Michael's
Badge, Tape- October Afternoon
Die Cutter- Provo Craft
Cartridge- Jasmine
Font- Monotype Corsiva
Ink- Ranger
Pen- Gel Writer
